What about involving him in some sort of ceremony? Like, candle ceremony or something -- you could have both him and your dad, or all of your parents, come up to light the two candles that you and your FH will use together to light a unity candle?

I need a way to include my step-dad in my wedding. I've already thought of the obvious ways....doing a reading at the ceremony (he doesn't like public speaking), a separate toast (again, no public speaking) a separate dance with him (I don't want to take away from my dance with my Dad). My Dad and I are very very very very close....so I can't take anything away from his FOB duties like walking me down the aisle or our father/daughter dance. So I need something else. Any ideas?
