Hi i live in Sacramento too.Have you considered a ring ceremony where your husband presents your daughter with a ring? IMHO that is such a special way to include a child.

I think having your husband give her something is so sweet and special! When my mom married my stepdad they had balloons off to the side and after they said their vows and exchanged rings they gave us each a balloon and the pastor talked about family importance/blending a family and then tied all the balloons together and let them go. (They had 2 kids each) It was a nice way to make us feel loved and special. I think anything yall do to include her will be sweet and something she will remember forever.

When I married my ex husband I had a special set of vows I said to my stepdaughter and I gave her a special necklace to wear on the wedding day and special occasions after that.

Hi there!  We are including my son from previous marrige in our ceremony as well.  He wants to be the ring bearer so he will be doing that as well as acting as a JR Bridesman.  During the ceremony we decided to do the sand ceremony over the Unity candle so my son will have his own color of sand to pour as well.  We look at it as we are binding as a family so we wanted to include him as well. 🙂
