There was a post recently that had photos in various frames….it looked great. You could put them around a guest book, as part of the centerpieces (depending on how many you get). And if you ask them to send you copies (so people don’t have to worry about thier actual photos), you can do them in whatever sizes you want. You could even put them IN a guest book if you wanted to…and people could sign by their photos.

I ran out of time & energy to do this:

I planned to dangle ribbons from the rafters of the pavillion (you could do this from a tree, or use a folding screen, etc.) and on each ribbon, have pix of my hubs and me (childhood pix, vacation pix, etc.) mounted on cardstock and put maybe 3-5 pix on each ribbon.  Have you ever gone to Neiman Marcus and seen the dangling curtains of butterflies they have? Similar, but a "curtain" of photos instead.  B/c it would be so spread out, lots of people can look at once, instead of crowding around one table or book.

I’m tentatively planning on doing something like this at our wedding. I think I’m going to go with the old boring posterboard displayed on easels, with their names and wedding dates under the photo. I’ll probably put them in the cocktail area to give people something to look at. And yes, I’m also asking people to send copies of them on their wedding day so that I don’t have to worry about losing their wedding photo!

Amanda,  what if you used them as your table numbers?  This isn’t the same, but a bride I know used other couple’s pets and their names in lieu of table numbers.  She emailed everyone for pics of their pets and pasted them on a nice cardstock and used pewter cat and dog table holders.  It was great and it was a great ice-breaker.  All guests were going from table to table to see everyone’s pets.  It made for cute conversation too at the table.
