9000k+ to be exact thanks to the homebuyer credit however, after being unemployed for 6 months and FI being unemployed for almost 3, the looooong awaited money weve based so many things on is basically spent!!!!! 🙁
In order to catch up on almost everything, some wedding included…it will literally leave us with 900 of it left. OUCH.
I just needed to vent because it all seemed to promising and dont get me wrong, its definitely a blessing but its hard to see that much mulah go so darn fast!!!

That’s great that you got it but sucks that it is almost gone already! I hope one or both of you can find a job soon.

This exact same thing happened to us. We got a little over 9k and we used it ALL to completely pay off a couple of loans. It was a totaly bummer that we didn’t get to use any of that money for fun or to put into our savings, but in the long run it was the smart thing to do. Now we don’t have to worry about 2 big monthly payments which in turn has actually given us a little bit more room to set money aside.
At least you’re all caught up and you still have a little left 🙂

I just got mine too. About a few days ago. I filled at the Mar 22nd ish and they told me I was suppose to get it Apr 2. Yeah, I got it Apr 23. Little annoyed that it was late. Right now, it is sitting in our checking account and I need to transfer it to savings. Hoping we don’t spend it because we really need to save it.
