@GrannyPantiesRock:  ok understandable.  I thought maybe a procedure like aspiration (what’s done in abortions ) would be a lot less mentally taxing but everyone is different.

recovery time for that would be one day usually. And not much of a risk. Very rare

in any case I wish you the best and so sorry again. Hope you can find closure soon.

That sounds impossibly difficult. I am so sorry you’re going through this, and still going through it!

@GrannyPantiesRock:  I am sending you positive and healing thoughts my dear. I hope you wake up from this nightmare soon- what an awful experience. Please know that so many women go through the pain of miscarriage and you are not alone. Also, when you say you need to get the baby out and move on from this- I TOTALLY understand that. I imagine I would feel the exact same way. Take care of yourself and take time to grieve. I believe that miscarriage can take a while to clear completely so I am hoping this is over quickly for you. Sending you future baby dust and best wishes.

It’s not awful to feel that way at all. The same thing happened to me last month at 8 weeks I started spotting and u/s confirmed m/c. I wanted to avoid surgery and my dr thought I could m/c naturally. The first week I did did cramp terribly and passed some enormous clots (orange sized). But u/s said it was incomplete. Did 2 rounds of misoprostal and passed huge amounts of clots- more than I could possibly tell you. 4th u/s still confirmed m/c was still incomplete. Finally, it was clear a d&c was in my best interest even though my dr said we could try 2 more rounds of meds. I was soo sick of it and needed it to be over. I was terrified of surgery and anesthesia but it was SO worth it and I started feeling better immediately. Weds will be 3 weeks since my d&c, 6 weeks since my m/c began. For the sake of your physical and emotional well-being I’d encourage you to consider a d&c. Next time I would just schedule it right away.

Good luck… Sending hugs. I know how awful it is – feel free to pm me if you want to talk more.

@GrannyPantiesRock:  sorry. I hope you don’t take what I said the wrong way. Was just lending another option since you seemed so emotional and rightfully so.  I was not put under or anYThing so that’s why I suggeste that as an alternative. It’s different than a D&C.

Again so sorry.
