I’m new to this board and need some help. We were suppose to get married a year ago, but I ended up getting pregnant and we decided to postpone the wedding since I already had my dress and I would have been almost 8 months pregnant for the wedding.
So, now I want to change my first dance song so that it fits our little family. I would like to dance half the song with just my hubby and then have my son, who will be almost 1, join us for the last half.
Any ideas for a song that fits this?

I don’t know why, but this song just came to mind…

Hmm…my cousin just got married and they included their children in the dance: it was his wife, him, their little baby, and his other daughter who is 5 I think. Unfortunately, I was too sick to make it to the wedding, but my mom said that it was adorable. They held the baby, while the 4 year old held the bride’s train and moved it around so the bride wouldn’t trip.
I think their first dance was alone, and their second dance was the family dance. I’m not sure what song it was, but it seems like I remember mom mentioning Butterfly Kisses. I’ll have to ask her.

I picked one!
My soon to be hubby and I LOVE The Black Keys! We ended up choosing “Everlasting Light”. It fits all my requirements – not overdone, not sappy, beautiful lyrics that fit our love and our love for our son. To me, the first verse has lyrics for me and my hubby. The second verse has lyrics for our son and the final verse is good for us as a family. I’m soo happy with our pick. Thanks for your suggestions 🙂
