I think I need more info about the style of your wedding to help you out. I, personally, like your first idea. It's clean, elegant and simple. BUT, if your wedding/venue/dress/flowers/decor will be more romantic and flowy, one of the others might work better.
@bells219: Our wedding is more of a vintage feel with chandeliers, candelabras etc. Our flowers are peonies, hydrangeas and roses. Our venue is the Grand Island Mansion.
Hope that helps?
Just looked at your venue, it's beautiful! I would combine cake 1 with the flowers from cake 2. Or Cake 1 with a small bunch of flowers and a bouquet, but not the stems- something doesn't sit right on that one for me.
I like the idea of the mix between cake one and cake two with the ribbons and the flowers in clumps everywhere. I personally like real flowers better. :) They all look beautiful. Good luck picking.
I love love love the Peonies cake (: I actually have it in my inspiration folder haha
The peonies cake is more in line with what's trendy on the wedding blogs right now. I love that one. :)
Maybe you should have all of them quoted. Some designs are more expensive than others. That might help you decide.
I love all the flower ones! The bouquet idea is really unique - I have never seen that before. Personally I like the peonies best - so pretty and classy :)
i like the Peonies but not a fan of the pink piping thats on the cake. its pretty but i like clean lines
I like the ribbon on your original idea and the clean lines- I feel like that's really elegant, but I also like the idea of the flowers on more than just the top of the cake- maybe like this? I think that's the best of both worlds!
I like your original idea the best, the bouquet is very interesting though
(also, thinking about gumpaste peonies still makes me shudder since cake school lol)
I like the peonies one, but also your original one. The only one I really didn't like was the bouquet.
@anchors_away: I like this one! Haha. I like the original and peonies and I think this combines them well.
I think the peony has a very vintage, classy, and elegant look, plus it's gorgeous! I think the original cake is more modern.
@scadadle15: I did have them quoted and they are all within the same ball park so to speak except for the scattered flowers (for obvious reasons). Pricing really isn't a determining factor as they are all well within my budget so that doesn't help me narrow anything down.:(
Thanks bees for your suggestions. I think the scattered flowers is out, just isn't my style. I really love the clean look of my original and bouquet cake but with gumpaste rather than real flowers. Does anyone have any photos of a clean lines cake with sugar/gumpaste flowers? Maybe that will help.
I love the first cake...I feel like its so so so classy and would match any theme...its just crazy gorgeous...Number 2 prolly matches the vintage feel better, but then I scroll back up to number one...sigh...just buy both! Haha!~ I'm never any help!

Hi Bees-
I can't decide which cake I want so I am putting it out there for your input. Just an idea for my wedding it is very formal with champagne, light pink and ivory colors. All cakes would be fondant (not buttercream as seen in the last image) and the cake will be three tiers.
This is my original idea with real blush pink and ivory roses on top (only). The ribbon would be light pink.
My new ideas:
Peonies
Bouquet
Scattered Flowers
