I am torn between two differnet color palettes for my May 2011 wedding. We have decided to use the blue mason jars for our centerpieces. Originally we had decided to do a black and white wedding with the turquoise blue color as an accent. Now though I have grown to love grey and purple, but I still want to incorporate the blue mason jars. I am undecided as to what shades of grey and purple and if it would even look good with the blue mason jars. We are having a semi-casual wedding at my fiances parents horse farm. I definetly need some help…….

I think grey and pretty much any shade of purple would be lovely with those jars! I’m envisioning a pale lilac and a lighter or midtone grey, but you could do anything.

Oh, yes, please mix those colors! I love both of the palettes you mention, but to be honest, I see them both done a LOT. But the combination of cobalt blue and purple is unique and gorgeous, and gray would work great as a third color. Here’s one board that shows how various shades of purple and blue can be combined (just missing the gray):

Ahh, the joys of wedding planning! 😉 I think I have a new favorite wedding color palette every week!
Perhaps you could go with a heather gray and rich shades of blue and purple? That way you could still incorporate the blue mason jars. Have you decided on bridesmaid dresses? It is always so pretty when bridesmaid dresses are different shades of one color.
Hope that helps!

Blue will still fit perfectly. Our colors are aqua/teal and deep purple and black and they look AMAZING together!
