Hi All, I am starting a photography business and need ideas on where to take my clients to do their engagement shoots. If you have been somewhere nice with your photographer can you please share? Also are they discreet places where not a whole lot of people will be staring or are they wide open to the public. I’m open to both venues. Thank you for anyone who can help!

Are you only looking for indoor settings? Our e-pics were at the Starbucks where we met, in the subway station, and in Central Park. The latter two are very city-specific, but I have seen a few other cute coffeeshop shoots.

You’d probably get more help asking in a photography forum, http://www.photo.net has helped me out.

Thank you all for replying. Sorry it took me a while to reply back, I just returned from a week long vacation. Thanks for the tips!

You have to previsualize the shot. I have no idea where you are and what places you can shoot. Long Island or Portland I have a few ideas. But I don’t know your town. We can’t feed you ideas. What makes a photographer is ideas. Anybody can learn exspspsure or even get away with auto. But your ideas are what makes you great. If you don’t have any ideas I feel bad for the poor suckers who hiered you.
Don’t mistake this for being mean or rude. It’s the way things are.

Grumpyoldman: you did not read my question, I am NOT asking for ideas for creativity, I am looking for public locations.
