Ooh, a friend of mine is getting married there next year! I think they paid either $4000 or $5000 for the rental fee.
@plantains: wow more expensive than i thought. but cool! you'll have to report back and let us know how it is!
@Jaxx317: I am getting married there next year- and it is an amazing space. At $4,000 it's not SUPER cheap, but it is pretty competetive for NY and they are super flexible so if you want to get creative this is the perfect place. It is absolutely gorgeous for a night time event- candles and chandeliers give it a beautiful ambiance. I highly recommend!
I wil def report back! Although the rental fee is kind of expensive, there are no restrictions on catering etc so one can really save money there. I know my friends are splitting the cost of rentals with the two couples who are having weddings there the day after and the day before and the venue will et them just leave all the stuff there in between so things like that help I guess.
@plantains - please do!
@courtney - that's awesome! I can't wait to hear all about it! i actually passed it along to a friend/coworker and i think they are going to book there! i totally want to help her plan her wedding but i think she's getting married the same month as me :(

Hey bees -
Saw this on a recent wedding blog post (link below) but thought I'd share for you ladies in need of a venue. It's called 450 Union (http://450union.com/), and it's in the Carroll Gardens area of Brooklyn. It's a big, pretty, rustic-style warehouse type space (bring your own everything!), and apparently has a very large adjacent outdoor space. I don't know what it costs to rent, but I imagine it's pretty inexpensive. It's definitely worth a look!
Here's the original blog/website link, which also has other great ideas/tips for money saving. Enjoy!
