I’m not looking for the typical poofy, strapless wedding dress, but more of an evening gown. I’ve recently learned the art deco style in dresses is right up my alley and something I see myself in for my wedding. However, many of these art deco designers are not U.S. based, therefore being quite pricey. I’m looking to find an inexpensive art deco dress that would look amazing. Any ideas?

Without knowing what exactly you mean by “Art Deco” (like Jenny Packham?) or “inexpensive”, the Wtoo Emerson dress jumped to mind – it retails for around $1100 but I’ve seen it preowned for as low as $500-$800: http://watters.com/Product/WtooBrides/18320/

@NetaNYC: Could you maybe give us some example pics of the dresses you like and that you consider Art Deco?

Try sue Wong! She offers evening gowns that honestly look like wedding dresses. Check eBay and http://www.preownedweddingdresses.com/ for even more discount. Wish all of my BMs were in the size raige of the discounted styles on eBay, I would have used for bm gowns too!

Second Sue Wong! I’m wearing one of her short dresses for my rehearsal dinner, I think. They are very budget-friendly.
