I started blogging about different inexpensive centerpiece ideas. I already came up with two centerpiece ideas for under $30 each. It’s a DIY. If you send me pictures, I can try to help you create it within a certain budget.

Hi Justabride. My wedding colors and black white and yellow. My first idea for an inexpensive (no real flowers) centerpiece was two vases of different height. One with lemons and a floating candle, the other with a yellow silk rose and a floating candle. These didn’t turn out so well as the lemons wouldn’t stay down and the rose looked ridiculous. I love love the petals in the vase. Do you have any ideas/suggestions for me? I would really aprpreciate it.

I love your color scheme!! I love the lemon idea. One thing you could do is use fabric glue to glue the bottom lemons down and from there glue the rest then add water.
I saw a picture of a square vase that had cut up lemons facing outwards. That woudl be good because the liquid from the lemon should stick to the sides of the vase.
Another great idea would use carnations which are inexpensive. Carnations run about 50 cents each. You could buy a shallow rectangle vase and while using foam as the base cover the foam with yellow carnations. It would look absolutely gorgeous! Infact, I will try to re-create it on my website (http://www.justabride.com) and break down the prices for you.
Hope that helps!
Cmills- good luck with the blogging! Let me know what the name of your website is cause I would love to learn new receipes!!!
