"My Sister" located on Steinway St in Astoria has Chinese slippers for $1 each. I forget exactly where it was..it was near the Bath and Body Works store.
Old Navy's flip-flops are always a good deal; $2.50 each if you buy more than 1. And you can order online or go to the store. I don't know if they'll ever do the $1 sale again, but that was awesome. Also, the dollar store would have them for $1...

I would love to do a flip-flop basket but am not sure where to get inexpensive ones. Does anyone have any suggestions? I live in NYC so we dont have Michaels or Joanns, so any internet ideas would be great!
