I was quoted $8,000 for flowers few days ago which blew my mind. We’re having 20 tables and don’t want anything extravagent for our wedding, but $8,000 is just INSANE! Our wedding budget is $15,000. I cant imagine spending anything over $1,000 on flowers. If you have worked with florists in the Los Angeles and surrounding areas that are pretty reasonable, please tell me all about them.
Thanks so much.

I honestly think you willhave a hard time finding a professional florist willing to work with such a small budget. It’s just not worth their time from a business perspective because it takes away an opportunity for them to work with a larger budget. (not that I think your budget is small)
What I would suggest is to go down to the flower district in down town LA and talk to some of the shop owners there. A lot of them do flower arranging on the side and will be willing to put something together for you for that amount because it’s very little extra work for them, (they already have the flowers at wholesale price).

@Meowkers: Thanks! I think I am going to do that instead. I didn’t know the store owners can put together flowers.

@babylo0n: I have no experience with this florist, but when I was helping my friend search for a florist for her wedding, we came across this one. http://www.weddingflowers4less.biz/Home_Page.php. Packages seem very reasonably priced. She ended up doing her own flowers from the LA flower market. Have you thought about that?
