What do you consider inexpensive?  Amazon Grille on Gessner is a good place if people are paying for themselves.  Or it used to be.  You’d order at the counter and they’d give you a private room.

I went to a RD at Thai Spice Buffet on Voss/Westheimer.  They also have a room.

What area of Houston are you going to be in? Goode Company BBQ’s I-10 location (www.goodecompany.com) has a private room, is very Texas-y, and would probably be reasonably priced. Star Pizza’s Shepherd location (http://starpizza.net) has a party room and would probably be reasonably priced too.

Hmmm well, it really depends on the feel you’re going for. I know Bucca di Beppo has space and its “family style” so people could share something and split the cost…

Let us know what you’re going for (other than inexpensive) and hopefully we can be of more help!

Hmm maybe Gringo’s in Pearland? If you guys like Tex Mex. I know they have a party room.

Pappasito’s might be easy—especially the one on Kirby and Richmond. They have a room that can be closed off, so you can have a more private dinner. Maybe just arrange for them to do in-house catering—fajitas, sides, etc.

Patrenella’s—might be out of the budget, but it has SO much charm.

If you want cheap, but amazing food, try Les Girvral’s. They have a few locations and might be willing to close their downtown location for a group. (Not positive) It’s French-Vietnamese fusion, which sounds weird, but it’s one of my absolute favorites in the city. (My only concern is it might not be as dressy as you want for a rehearsal dinner.)

Lots of great thai options around here, but the less expensive ones are in sort of questionable locations. 🙁

Not sure if that helps!

Sorry, just saw your note about being in Pearland. My recommendations are in central Houston, so that might not be the best fit for you… 🙁 Sorry!

Hey try one of the Perry’s Restaurants; they are both really good (one is a steakhouse in Friendswood and the other is italian in Clear Lake). Also a Birraporetti’s just opened not too long ago in Friendswood, and they have a (very small) private room, but last time we were there we sat in a sectioned off area that would work nicely for a party of around 20 or so.
