Have you looked at any department stores for off the rack dresses? For my bff’s wedding, we got them from Nordstrom and they were $50. We didn’t even need any alterations.

I agree that perhaps checking out local stores like Macy’s, Nordstrom, Dress Barn or Sears might give you some suitable options. Also, if you want straps or shoulder/arm coverage but like a strapless dress, perhaps a cardigan or shawl might be another option to look into.

Noble3: David’s Bridal is having a sale right now, so they have some super affordable dresses–especially if you’re willing to get a long dress and have it hemmed if you want to stick with the mid-calf length. Just be prepared that they will sell your email address to a gazillion other places…

Some suggestions:

This one is between $30-$50 right now:
http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_sleeveless-satin-v-neck-dress-with-slim-skirt-81047_sale-bridesmaid-dresses

These next few are $50 on sale:

http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_spaghetti-strap-chiffon-dress-with-beaded-empire-f12495_sale-bridesmaid-dresses

This one is $30, but it’s final sale so can’t be returned:
http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_chiffon-dress-with-beaded-neckline-and-straps-f14006_wedding-party-all-bridesmaid-dresses

Oops, just saw you wanted sleeves, too. It might be hard to find a dress specfically for bridesmaids with sleeves, so I’d agree with PP and look at department stores.

Have you considered a midi skirt in a dressy fabric styled with an appropriate top?

Noble3: I think you can create a number of different looks with different blouses

a matching chiffon blouse would look like a dress

Shabby Apple has modest necklines and dress lengths, though many of their skirts brush the knee.

This dress is $115 http://www.shabbyapple.com/shop/catalog/product/view/id/7056/

eshakti lets you customize the skirt length, sleeve, and neckline of most dresses for about &7.50 extra per dress (maybe also per option).

These are the dresses I found that have royalish blue.

Noble3: I got mine at modcloth. $50. my MOH picked it out. and it fit on all the different body types of my BMs. Looks a little dark in this photo and it wasnt really a royal blue but you might find some cute dresses on there. i love that site!! mine were not very modest but they do have a lot of variety.

Venus Bridal has a line of modest bridemaids called Temple Maids, their prices are usually pretty fair. Also if you find a boutique by you that carries them (use their store locator) ask about a group discount many stores offer that for bridesmaids dresses. Nice thing about BM dresses is you can order them in any color you need if you find one you like.
