what's your budget? there's a lot out there, it really depends on what type of scents you like.. floral, musky, etc.
i personally like clinique, happy. it's not too expensive for their smallest sized bottle and its very fresh and wonderful hehe.. im not a big perfume person so i dont know too much of the lingo..
I just bought a new bottle, and the big bottle was only like $75 I think. Its Ed Hardy's Love and Luck. I LOVE it!!!! My new perfume :)
Benefit's Maybe Baby was one of my favorites for a long time - it's a very soft scent. Sephora has it for $32.

If you want to try a number of perfumes (for sensitivity, chemistry, etc.) and even have enough for your wedding day and the honeymoon, go to a department store and ask for samples. Many high-end producers offer small spray bottles of their scents, and if you drop the "W" word to a sympathetic counter attendant, they'll give you a whole bunch. If you find one you really love, go back and purchase the body lotion and ask for a few more samples "for traveling on my honeymoon"!
