I'm planning on buying sparklers as well. I haven't compared which sites are the best deal yet but here are some I've come across:

We purchased our sparklers from www.sparklersonline.com we will buy a cheap box during the 4th of July to light the bigger ones. Sparklers are best lit with other sparklers rather than matches.

Anyone know about sparkler rules in New York City? I get conflicting responses all the time... and when I researched online it wasn't quite clear either.
Call the local fire department for your venue. The reason you get conflicting responses is that those rules are by city and/or county (or maybe borough in NYC) rather than imposed across the board. So while the city may decide whether you need a permit for something producing sparks or open flame, your local Fire Chief is the guy who decides whether you get one. An answer you get in one part of the city may not apply in another, and the answer you get for one building may not apply in another due to differences in the age or construction of the building. Actually where I live the answer you get for use outside varies by time of year and whether you are on private or public property.
If you're still looking there's a new site Celebrationsparklers.com that offers wedding sparklers, poppers and sky lanterns with free shipping. Definitely follow Suzanno's advice and check with local authorities, there's nothing more disappointing than ordering sparklers and then finding out you can't use them.
Granitebaywed- are you in a state that allows fireworks/sparklers?
canary- fireworks of all sorts (including sparklers) are illegal in NYS. You are only allowed to possess them if you have a license to. Most online companies wont even ship to NY. It's funny though because once you cross the border to CT even Walmart sells fireworks (at least around 4th of july).

THis is my first post...yeah!! I was wondering if anyone has a good resource for super cheap sparklers. I want to tie a few and use them as favors/place settings. I was thinking of using the medium sized ones (I think the 14') Thanks!!
