Bartram’s Garden might be a good bet for you, but it’s entirely outside so you always run the risk with weather. You could try Morris Arboretum or Tyler Arboretum but I think they both require you use caterers from a specified list (but don’t hold me to that). Check back at some of the old threads on here, too. Good luck!

@Lisa1008:  We are also looking for a location of that type, with those rules, and for ~100 people in the Philadelphia area.  I will let you know if I find anything!

Morris Arboretum, Tyler Arboretum, and Bartram’s Gardens all require you to use their caterers (as do pretty much all the venues of that type in the area, as I’m disappointedly finding out).

The Merion Tribute house allows you to bring in caterers and alcohol. They have a pretty outdoor porch and huge front lawn. Perhaps you could talk to them about setting up a tent out there?

@Lisa1008:  A little known place is the Andalusia Mansion in Bucks Co. They only have events outside so it would be tented and you bring your own caterer/decor/etc. The grounds are beautiful and rustic looking.

@Nouna_:  Andalusia charges $10k just to rent the facility.

I am in the exact same boat! I was looking for a venue that I could have the ceremony & reception at on a budget. Also am thinking about having a cocktail reception instead of a full sit down dinner. Any suggestions?

@Lisa1008:  Try Sweetwater Farm. It’s indoor and outdoor! When my parents were married there, they brought in their own food and alcohol but that was awhile ago. You’d have to read up on the rules now!
