Happy posting!
Hi girls! I've been away from the thread for a few days, but I just read through all the posts and got caught up on your stories. Good luck to all, especially those of you in the two week wait! I think of you guys every day, even when I'm not on the boards.
Hubs went in for his SA today. Poor guy -- it totally freaked him out. I guess we get the results sometime next week. I hope everything comes back OK. I think it's easier for us women to accept the fact that there's something wrong with us fertilitywise than it is for men, but maybe that's just me and my husband...
Oh, did I tell you guys I bought an Ovacue off Craigslist so I can hopefully pinpoint my ovulation without having to POAS daily? I'm doing both this month to make sure it's accurate, but hopefully it will save us money in the long run.
@babybunny: good luck with that!!!
@Mrs. DG: weee!!! another board! thank you! :D
Well, I'll be taking a OPK/OPT (what IS the right abbreviation for them, anyway?) tonight. Here's hoping it doesn't kill my back more than it already it! LOL! Not that I'm going to let an inflamed back stop me from ttc!
@babybunny: I hope your hubby's test goes well and the results come back soon! Sorry he was freaked out by the test. :( The Ovacue sounds great. I'm not familiar with what that is, but it sounds easier than having to POAS! :)
Is it even possible to actually have symptoms this early (5 dpo)? I keep reading conflicting info. Some say no way-not until at least 7-10 days past ovulation. Others say they have had symptoms this early. I'm going crazy! TMI alert...I have had sore nipples the last two days. I NEVER have that after ovulation, only before my AF comes. Ahh! This wait is killing me. lol
The wait is killing me over here too. I don't really think I have any symptoms, but I am curious about that. The past few months I have had crazy heartburn during the TWW, making me think pregnancy was a possibility, but I wasn't pregnant. This time I have hardly any heartburn. So...is that good or bad? My boobs are tender, but more like normal monthly tenderness. I am tired (normal, and due to progesterone) and then it is just the digestive issues. That could be from anything...including pms!
@Jenn23: Yeay for your sore nipples!!! (well, there is a sentence I never thought I would be typing to another woman online!) Even at only 5 dpo, I think that could be a good sign.
@heathaah: Haha!! LOL That is too funny. My husband by accident bumped me in the chest last night and I said, "Ow!!!" and then smiled since I'm hoping that the sore nipples are a good sign. He must think I'm crazy, getting excited over sore nipples! LOL We'll see! So that is interesting-when you have had heartburn you weren't pregnant and now you don't have heartburn..hmmmm. Sounds like a good sign to me!!!!! I'm very tired, too, but for me I have bad allergies this time of year (our pollen count right now is thru the roof here in PA) so I can't tell if my tiredness is any different since I'm usually very tired during allergy season. Darn! Why can't the two week wait be just a two day wait?!!!!!!!!!!
@Jenn23: @heathaah: I'm thinking of you ladies!!! I can only imagine how rough the TWW is - over anazlyzing every tiny little body change. I"m sending you lots and lots of baby dust. My super power has been on hiatus lately, so maybe it's time for it to kick back in for you two!
@babybunny: I felt the same way when DH's first SA test came back with not good news!!!! It was easier for me to think it was all me, than for him to think it was him. We are still waiting on the results of his second SA. Good luck!!
So I have no one else around me that understands what we're going through, so I'm sorry for the post but I just need to get it out:( So I was getting ready to leave work yesterday at about 4:28 and my boss (who I graduated with and went to high school with) tells both me and my other co-worker that he has a surprise to tell us and since we are like family he thought he should tell us before we found out from someone else.......he said that him and his wife are expecting a baby girl in August!!!!! I gotta tell ya.....my heart dropped and I started shaking and the tears started coming the more he talked about it. Luckily I was up in the front office and he was talking from his office down the hallway. I was speechless and couldn't say anything......Now I am happy for him, but let me fill you in on a little something. Him and his wife have been married for about 8 years. His wife has never and didn't want to have kids.....they have 2 dogs that they treat more like kids and that was all they wanted. She can not do anything for herself...I mean he makes all of her appts. and does everything for her....which is just strange to me, but anyway....about a month and half ago he took her to the ER because her blood pressure was through the roof and she has been having problems with that for a while....while there they told her that they needed to put her on diff. meds and they asked why.....well, because you are pregnant!!! So she didn't even know she was pregnant until they were 3 and half months along. And she wasn't that happy about it:( Even when he told us yesterday he didn't sound excited about it. I don't get it....here is a couple who didn't want kids and are having one and here I am along with the rest of you that want one so bad and are having a hard time.....Then he tells me while my co-worker is hugging me...."It will happen for you"....Not what I needed to hear from him.....so I left work bawling like a baby and am completely humiliated that I couldn't control it...... Sorry for the long post, but needed to get it out!!!!
@stormy9973: I am so sorry sweetie! I have totally been there and reacted the same way. It's totally ok to feel that way and you shouldn't feel humiliated. This is a crazy emotional roller coaster we're all unwillingly on, and you're completely allowed to feel those emotions. It really sucks though that they're pregnant and not even excited about it. Jerks.
@stormy9973: Ugh. I am so sorry. That reminds me of my neighbor who's house is being forclosed, and the family is moving in with her parents. Obviously this is a bad time for kid #2, but she was giggling and saying "oooops! teehee" when she KNOWS what I am going through. I wanted to smack the b*tch.
(Side note: I still want to smack her. I let her borrow a $350 suit and she returned it to me by hanging it on my car door handle! I was obviously home, but she said she didn't come to the door because she was in a hurry. And it was a windy day. I had to crawl under my car to get the shirt! How come people like THAT can reproduce so easily???????)
@Candy_Nee: Thanks! What is your super power? Whatever it is, I hope it helps. hehe :)
@stormy9973: Oh, I'm so sorry. That must have been so hard yesterday. :( We had a double baby shower here at work a few weeks ago (post baby for both co-workers) and they both brought them to work. Picture me standing by the cake table with about 60 co-workers fussing over both babies and everybody is smiling and laughing and I just wanted to run back to my desk. Ugh! It's so hard sometimes!! I'm so sorry!
@heathaah: Wow, crazy neighbor!!! She hung your nice suit on the door handle?? Oh my gosh! I would have been livid.
@Jenn23: This past fall/winter, I had the amazing ability to get pretty much everyone I know pregnant on either the first try or without even trying! Here's the list:
Co-worker and his wife - not trying not to
Best friend from TN - not even trying
Best friend from NC - first try (she and I were supposed to start trying together.)
Old roommate - not trying not to
good friend from NC - first try
My big brother - not even trying (no one even knew he had a girlfriend! And she's way younger than him)
I found out about all of these with in like 6 weeks of eachother.
@Candy_Nee: I think that is why it got to me because they weren't excited...how could you not be!!
@heathaah: I don't get people...who does that??? I would want to smack her too!!
@Jenn23: I'm sorry that you had to go through that and with 2 babies no less....I commend you on not running back to your desk...It was like I was having an outer body experience yesterday.....I couldn't control any of it and I am a person who has to be in control....I couldn't stop myself from not running away!! I'm hoping it gets better, but I know it won't!!
Thank you all for making me feel a little better!!! I just hope that good things start happening soon for all of us and here's to hoping for a fast week for you girls on your TWW:)
@Candy_Nee: Wow! That's so many all in a short time frame. That must have been so hard for you. :(
@stormy9973: Well, I did enjoy the cake! lol At least that part was nice. :) To be fair, one of the babies is an IVF baby and the mother uses the same doctor I'm seeing! She knows about what I'm going through and is very supportive. Took her 3 years of trying with 1 1/2 yrs of IUI's, then finally IVF to have her baby girl. She keeps telling me it is WORTH IT in the end!!! So I'm trying to keep positive! :)
@babybunny: I hope the results are good!
@Jenn23: My nipples have been more sensitive too! I am dying with anticipation, and I still have a lot of ovary pains and some cramping, I hope that is a good thing! I wish it was a 2 day wait too! I could handle that!
@stormy9973: I am so sorry. That is so hard and no one really understands unless they are going through it themselves. We are all here for you. I hate that people that don't want kids, or aren't trying get pregnant so easily. It is really unfair.
@heathaah: Can I come smack her too?! And my DH ex?!!
@Rosie Girl: OH, I've been working to send my super power vibes to you ladies! I figure I Should at least do some good with it! :)
@Candy_Nee: Thanks for the super power vibes!!!! :)
@Rosie Girl: As Heathah said to me, "Yay, for your sore nipples!!" LOL So, you have that, too?? Do you not normally have that post-ovulation?? I haven't really had cramps today (one little one about an hour ago), but yesterday I did. And I have the CM still, which I don't remember having post-ovulation before. This is just crazy!
Just got a call from the RE and the meds have been ordered! I will be taking Follistim, not sure what my dosage is. I should find out tonight. Now I just have to wait for AF to get here. I have no idea if I am going to start on my own or take Provera. Ugh all this waiting sucks! Especially since I just found out a friends younger sister is pregnant, on her first month of trying.
But, while I was getting my teeth cleaned on Friday I found out my dental hygenist went through infertility and had to do IUI. She had twins on her very first one! It was really nice to talk to someone in person who has gone through it and been successful.
@Rosie Girl: let's just get them both together in a room and beat them senseless (well, after the babies are born, of course.) It's funny for me to write that because I am so not a violent person!!!
@sweetkate: That's great! I hope the injections work for you! I'm sorry, I can't remember... Will this be your first IUI then? I know, the waiting is horrible! I was so frustrated last month while on the birth control pill to treat my cysts. I just wanted to fast-forward to starting the Clomid!! That's great your hygentist had twins!! :)
@heathaah: I think it is from what I read yesterday. But I still don't see how I can have symptoms since so many people said you can't really have symptoms this early? Does anyboy know about this? Why some people say you can have symptoms right after ovulation, and others say not until after implantation and very close to the time AF is due. So confusing!!
@Jenn23: I have CM too, which I have had before after ovulation, so that worries me.... I am having more ovary pain than cramps lately. But I have had some weird feeling cramps too, like pinching. I don't know about how long after you get sx, but we are 1 week away so we got to be gettting close!
@sweetkate: YAY! So exciting to start your meds, just hope AF shows for you (not very often we hope that!) I love hearing possitive stories about people doing tx like twins first time with IUI.
@heathaah: I'm down with a beat down!
@Rosie Girl: One more week. Ahh!!! Wow, that article is something. Interesting! As little as 2 years this may be possible it said. Awesome! Hope it works and can help people!!
@heathaah: Thanks. I'll just assume it is possible to feel symptoms this early, even though they say not until after implantation is likely. I definitely feel different! But I know it definitely could be the Clomid since this was my first month on it!! Hope you are feeling better today!
@Jenn23: I am so darned anxious! i can't handle it, but I am already a little disapointed that I am not :( It is crazy! It could really help a lot of people.
@Rosie Girl: I'm super anxious, too. And I don't have all the symptoms that I had yesterday so I'm just sitting here telling myself how I'm definitely not pregnant. I went to use the bathroom earlier (I'm at work) and while in there grabbed at my boobs to see if they hurt! This is just crazy...lol
@Jenn23: Don't grab them too much cause they'll start to hurt! I hate to admit it but I have done that before.... totally sucks.
Good luck ladies! We need some good news around here!
@Jenn23: Ok, you sound just like me! This morning I was inspecting the TP and my DH was getting in the shower, I think he thought I was crazy! I have been feeling my boobs too! I am going crazy but trying to tell myself that I am not, I don't want to be so hurt!
I thought this was hilarious! Undecided over whether or not I would put my baby in it though. Maybe around family only!
http://www.cafepress.com/+fertility_drugs_rock_baby_onesie,388317133
@heathaah: That onesie is awesome! Would be super funny if someone ended up with multiples and put it on all of them :)
@babybunny: The ovacue souned neat. Let us know what you think. Good luck with DH SA.
@Jenn23: My Mom swears she felt pregnant the second it happened. I don't think it's to early to feel symptoms. I hope they are the real thing. CM is a promising sign!!
@heathaah: I think I would start peeing on things now!
@stormy9973:I am so sorry to hear that. Things just are not fair. Take care of yourself tonight. Wish I was there to give you a big hug.
@Rosie Girl: When do you test? I think we should start having daily testing for you, Jenn and Heathaah. I am checking everyday to hear some news.
@sweetkate: Good luck!
Hi ladies...I've been lurking on here so long I feel like I know all of you!
I had my HSG in January (one side blocked, the other side beautiful!) and still no baby. How long did your doctors make you wait before sending the hubs for a good ol' SA?
@bellamargot: WELCOME!!!! So glad you have joined us! For us, my husband had the SA immediately. But my situation is a little different in that I never tried fertility drugs with my regular doctor before seeing a specialist. I think most people do the SA when they begin seeing an RE. Are you seeing an RE yet?
@waitingbee: I am scared to test!!!!! I am going to wait it out as long as possible. For me, seeing AF is easier than seeing a negative test!!!
@heathaah: Not yet...if AF gets here on friday that will be the next step, though. My doc wanted to refer me after one month of trying but at the time I didn't think I was ready to give up on nature...haha! Now, I'm wishing I would have listened to him!
