    Glad to see a new thread, the other one was giving me lots of trouble.

    UGh

    I don't know what's going on with my stupid body.  I did Clomid followed by Prometrium for my last cycle. I thought I was getting a period on January 20th, but I never got beyond spotting and the GYN's nurse said don't stop the Prometrium until at leat after 28 days and a BFN, even though I had had 23 day cycles before, which this would have been another one of the those. AF appeared to start for good on January 27th so I tested BFN and stopped the Prometrium. Short 4 day AF, on the lighter side. So this is where it gets really weird I had a positive OPK on Sat. which is either CD 9 or CD 16 depending on what was really AF.  We did BD on Sat but Sunday's OPK which I took really late was a very faint line and I started feeling like crap from all the junk food at a Superbowl party so no BD we just couldn't get going. Hope we didn't mess up. Ugh. I don't know what to think. At least my RE appointment is Tomorrow. So much paperwork.

    @kayakgirl73:  So wait, you had a positive OPK Saturday? If the line Sunday was light, that means it was negative. The second line on an OPK must be as dark or darker than the control line to be positive.

    @bunny:

    Saturday's appeared to be as dark as the control line. Clearblue test. Sunday's was very very faint but was taken more than 24 hours after saturday's test. So if I o'd I'm sure it had passed by Sunday. Just my cycle days are crazy so who knows what was really Aunt Flo last month.

    @kayakgirl73:  I'm in the same boat -- Provera back in January followed by a lighter than usual period, and I'm supposed to be on CD25 of my first Femara cycle, but I had spotting/bleeding on CDs19-23. Now the doctor isn't sure where I'm at in my cycle.

    I just spoke with the nurse and I'm to take a pregnancy test first thing tomorrow AM just to be sure (though with my progesterone so low last week, I know I'm not pregnant), and then start provera again tomorrow to get me back to square one. We're upping my Femara dosage, but I'm not sure how much. I forgot to ask. I'll have to bring that up with the nurse tomorrow.

    @bunny:  Dont you HATE when they make you take the pregnancy test before they'll give you provera.  It's just like a kick in the gut.  I really really hope the Femara does it's job this month for you!

    @Candy_Nee:  Thanks! If the next dosage up doesn't work, we'll probably go back to clomid. I hated the side effects, but I'm willing to put up with them for the assurance that I'll ovulate. I'm actually glad they're making me take one. I didn't before my last round of provera because I thought it would hurt to see the BFN, but then after that I kept wondering if I miraculously been pregnant and ruined everything, so it will be nice to have that negative test in my pocket in case I second guess myself.

    So I'm seriously getting antsy at 10dpiui (probably 9dpo).  I made sure to pee quickly in the morning so that I would not take a test.  I'm willing myself to be feeling twinges and that might be true, but I just don't know.  By the way I've decided that the only viable symptom is twinges.  All of the other are simply hormonal (IMO).

    @bunny:  well I've had 13 and 14 day LP's on Clomid.  So that puts AF at Friday or Saturday.  I would really like to wait it out, but I"ll probably test Sat if I make it that far...

    @bunny:  I'm hoping Clomid will do the job - now that it seems to have FINALLY worked for me (at the right dose!) I can put up with the hot flushes and all that!

    Still thinking of all of you and I do miss coming on here everyday, but I have been enjoying the break.  Just finishing up on AF, of course with the help of provera, but this time around it took a couple of days to arrive unlike the previous times, where I took the last pill and then the next day AF arrived!!  We'll see if I have any O signs without the meds this time around!!!

    Hoping for the best for all of you!!!  Especially for you Jenn......hope tomorrow you get some really great news!!

    @mmsva yeah, I'm a big advocate of the herbs and needles : ) How long have you been having them?

    @missmegan11, big hugs to you, it can be so, so hard dealing with infertility in a relationship. My husband needed a few months after our wedding to settle into being married, and wouldn't think about baby making until after Christmas. It was hard for me to wait but it did us a lot of good, focusing on your marriage will make you both stronger when you start treatment again. It WILL happen for you!

    @mrsgreengrass, I've got my fingers crossed for you about those twinges!

    Sorry I'm not really commenting on people's medication posts etc, this is only my first experience with cycle monitoring and it's unmedicated so I don't have much knowledge about it all yet - hopefully by next month it'll make more sense : ) I am wishing you all lots and lots of luck though!

    missmegan11: Having gone through it, I can say taking a break was the best thing we did for our marriage.  All our TTC issues were really taking it's toll on us and we were fighting like crazy about TTC and everything else.  We had to remember that we have to have a strong marriage and be a good spouse before we could be good parents.  Sometimes it's SO easy to get caught up in having a baby and getting pregnant that you forget about everything else.  I hope your break does you guys a world of good and gets your marriage back on track.  Sending you big hugs!

    missmegan11: (((Hugs))).  I know how frustrating TTC and the problems it can cause in a marriage.  I agree that taking a break maybe the best thing.  I've found myself obsessing about everything in the TWW and just being a "B" to DH cause of the situation.  The only reason we are not taking a planned break until we meet w/ our RE is due to my advanced maternal age(41).  Honestly though I wish I didn't have to rush to do it all in our first year of marriage.  Hell, I'm just learning to share and having to worry about someone else and their feelings.  Add TTC and its a delicate situation.  Sending lots of prayers that you and your DH will get back on track.

    @Mrs Green Grass:  I soo want to test tomorrow.  I'm a day behind and every twinge and tug I've been feeling, I've tried to not symptom spot but I just want to know either way.

    Well Ladies.  I was hoping to finally be a graduate this month but AF will be showing up instead.  Very disappointed but can't wait to see RE on Monday.  Have a wicked migraine so my body is telling me I need a break.  Will check in later this week.  Sending lots of hugs and prayers to my Ladies:)

    @squeak35:

    Good luck at the RE. I just came back from my first RE appointment. it went very well. I have lots of hormone testing to be done and I need the HSG test done. I have to wait to next cycle for the testing since I'm too far into this cycle. But at least I have good info now, we like the doctor and nurse, and DH's SA looks really good.

    I undestand about the time is of essence as I'm 38. We did wait a year before we tried, since we had never lived together, but sometimes I wonder if that was the best idea. Also we've now been trying a year, I wish I had insisted on the RE 6 months ago when I was suspecting issues.

    @squeak35:  So sorry, hope you feel better after your break.

    @Mrs Green Grass:  I'm holding out hope for you too.

    @kayakgirl73:  Glad today went well! Don't beat yourself up about not starting earlier, you have to do what's right for you and be in the right place together to start trying.

    I went for my day 12 ultrasound/blood work today and the clinic's just started opening at 6am instead of 7am. I was second in and noticed a HUGE improvement in the staff's mood (and I dread impatient staff more than I dread the procedures themselves). Being the second arm and who-ha of the day is obviously the way to go : )

    Looks like I'm going to start 10 days of Provera today! I only had 5 last time, and I didn't feel it was enough to bring on a full period, so I'm very thankful that they're giving me 10. Femara dosage is up to 5mgs for 5 days. We are springing for the IUI this cycle, but I'm not sure what all that will entail. The nurse is checking with the doctor on whether he wants CD3 blood work and/or HSG. I plan to call around to get cash prices for the HSG, if so, becuase I don't think insurance will cover it. Those of you who have had the HSG, how much did it cost?

    On a related note, I found out last night that Ohio law requires insurance companies to cover infertility "when medically necessary," but doesn't go into further detail about what that means, which basically has given the companies license not to cover it. It makes me SO ANGRY that they're ignoring the spirit of the law. I can't believe no one has challenged them on this!

    @Mrs Green Grass:  Sorry about the BFN, hon. :(

    @bunny:  I hope the bigger dose works for you. IUI is meant to have a higher success rate, and I had a friend who got pregnant first time with femara and IUI.

    The ultrasound looked okay, thanks. There's a follicle in the right ovary taking the lead so we'll see how it all looks when I go back on Thursday. My cycles are about 35 days long so not expecting to see much right now.

    @squeak35:  I'm sorry. :( Is AF already here? Hoping your RE appt goes well - at least you have something to look forward to at the end of it.

    @Mrs Green Grass:  It aint over yet!

    @kayakgirl73:  At least you've got a plan now. We're doing similar things next - more bloodwork, HSG and prep. Yuck! ;)

    @bunny:  I'm SO HAPPY you're getting a re-do. I hope the stronger Provera + Femara is what does the job. And an IUI too? That's fantastic! *hugs*

    @travelgirl1:  Yay for follicles!

    AHH! My beta is now an 898!!!! It went from a 177 to 898 in 4 days. (Higher than expected/necessary) Yay!!!! I'm in complete and utter shock right now. I was NOT expecting this at all. The nurse said my doctor is very pleased and I am now scheduled to go Monday morning for my 1st ultrasound. I cried happy tears while she told me everything. My husband is in a meeting at work so I can't tell him for at least 45 more minutes. He's going to go crazy! He's been just as scared/nervous as me the last few days. I just can't believe it!!!!! AHHHH!! Thank you all for the support!!!!!
