@EncoreBridetoBe:  is this a joke?! I mean, obviously every man, regardless of age is different in bed.  I don’t know how much helpful information people will be able to give here.  My friend is 25 and is married to a 43 year old. They just had their first child, so doesn’t seem like sex is an issue there.

@EncoreBridetoBe:  well that’s quite the generalization to make. You can’t judge someone and if they’re a good person based on their age.  If she likes him, she’ll have to date him and get to know him and figure it out on her own.

There’s only one way to find out!  I had a one night stand with a 40-something year old guy when I was 20-something and it was decent sex.  But everyone and all relationships are different.  If she’s worried about it, don’t wait too long to get in bed with him so she can break it off if it doesn’t work out.

@EncoreBridetoBe:  Up to par? You are kidding, right? Experience does count for something. i am assuming we are not talking about a 45 year old virgin.

@EncoreBridetoBe:  ….alright, here’s the deal with men that fit into my

“Seasoned but Not Sagging” category…they certainly aren’t the blazing stallions that drag you through an all night mind bending extravaganza…but they ARE extremely comfortable with themselves, and more often than not have a few key moves that will knock your socks off and they aren’t afraid to take their time, set the scene and wait until just that right moment…its different, but really nice.

I am sure your friend knows that just because you make it to 45 doesn’t mean you’re all Don Juan and the business in the sack. It is different for every person. Also, I am sure his interest at 45 are also on a case-by-case basis. Maybe he likes sports, maybe he likes movies, who knows? She will have to date him to see what those interests are. As men age, their libido may decrease– but so can a woman’s… so I don’t really know what advice she can find besides just going out with him.

@EncoreBridetoBe:  25 and marrying a 40 year old (you wouldn’t know it). No complaints about sex. I’ve had sex with guys closer to his age that were horrendous, and ones that were fine. It’s a case by case basis.

I don’t think WB can really help you here. 45-year old men, like every other pseon of a particular age don’t always fit into an identical mould. Not all 20-something guys love clubs and not all teenage boys love videogames.

Her best bet is probably just to date him, see if they have anything in common and then decide if they can make their relationship work. I don’t see anyhting wrong with someone making it to 45 without being married unless they have never been in a comitted relationship. It’s possible he’s dated but never found someone he wanted to marry, and that’s perfectly fine. If he’s never dated, is a virgin and still lives with his mom, yeah, there are some issues there. But otherwise she should probably just give him a shot rather than relying on Google and WB to tell her how he should be in bed.
