Groom and I were chatting this morning about a cake topper I found that I loved. It’s an initial with rhinestone crystals all over to had a bling look. The site I found it on was a custom site and therefore the price for one initial was over $150. He thought that was outrageous and swears I could find one cheaper.
Have any of you bees decided to do an initial cake topper? Have you already purchased it? How much and where did you get it?
Thank you 🙂

Try amazon. I just did a search and it popped up some monograms as low as $25. I would try to find a local store for cake decorating supplies as well. They might have some.

I’ve looked on ebay and etsy. ebay was cheaper.

I used the etsy shop associated with this website http://dazzlemeelegant.com/category_36/Crystal-Cake-Toppers.htm The etsy shop had a fire in their office building so they aren’t taking orders through etsy right now. The fire did cause some delays because my cake topper was in their office that they didn’t have access to but I must admit that my cake topper came out beautiful. I had one custom made because we are using it on the side of the cake rather than as a cake topper. She added a white oval and made it exactly the specifications I wanted. I didn’t use crystals so mine was significantly cheaper but on the website above their single initial crystal monograms are $30-$40. They will custom make anything you want, we even got to choose the font. Even though the etsy shop is closed the website above is the same people and will still take custom orders. I’ve attached a picture, sorry it’s burry but it’s the only picture I have. It was shipped to my parents in NY so they took it for me.

@Rgeddy:kinda rude….I don’t think she was asking for an insult about her choice in cake topper…
@Hollymarieee: they are pricey when you add all the crystals, but maybe you can find a more affordable look here 🙂

I like the monogram cake toppers (we had one with our last initial in gold – M), but I don’t care for them covered in rhinestones. I think they look better plain, personally.
I don’t remember where we got mine but I think we paid around $60. We spent more because we wanted one that was metal instead of plastic.
