I’m trying to figure this out, if you use a pocketfold invitation, do you use an inner envelope or not? If you don’t use a inner envelope, do you write the addressee’s name on the “back” of the pocketfold?

The pocket fold is the inner envelope. The one around that is the outer envelope (and keeps the inserts from getting lost in the mail).

I’m curious about this too! I have pocketfolds and I’m going with a belly band to keep it closed. If I write the names on the pocketfold, they’ll be covered by the ribbon. But I do want to write names somewhere to make it clear who is invited (guests, etc.) Any advice would be appreciated!

I’ve also been wondering where you put the specific guest names on a pocketfold invitation! I was thinking maybe on the tag that goes on the belly band? Although I think most people put the bride and groom’s names / initials / wedding date on that… so would it be weird to have the guest names on that?

I am making my own pocketfolds (thanks to all the DIY instructions bees!), and am wondering about the tag as well. I want to include the informal names for the guests, which I thought i would put on the tag. But, like thesejoys mentioned, in all the invite pics I see online the bride and grooms names are on the tag! Anybody have examples of guest names on the tag?
