Sorry for the ridiculously large picture (as it appears on my screen, at least)! These are my invitations, ordered from Minted. The main invitation, which is partially covered up, is an eggplant purple and silver/gray. The enclosure cards are silver/gray only. The inner envelope is shown, and its hard to tell the exact color but its a pretty purple that matches the purple ink pretty closely. The RSVP card will have a small silver envelope. The outer envelopes are just plain white. I really want to do a belly band or ribbon as well, just to add another pop of color– most likely purple.
Why must I make everything so difficult, my fiance constantly asks me? Why can’t we just send out the invitations as is? Probably because I have seen so many ridiculously cute detailed DIY invitations on the bee. I just want that extra something… I love the invitations themselves but I want to create the perfect little package for my guests to open. Nothing expensive, maybe just ribbon or a DIY belly band. I am wondering if doing a ribbon/belly band is totally superfluous with an inner envelope? And even if it is, will it still look cute? I have been looking for pictures of this on the bee and Google but I haven’t found much.
Thoughts on the belly band/ribbon with an inner envelope? Any other suggestions to make my invites more exciting?
Also, I got a crop-a-dile and I am going to crop the crap out of some corners this weekend. I’m pretty pumped about it and I think rounded corners will look great with the design of the invites.
