I think the excursion idea is great! That way, you're giving him a memory and not just a thing. Maybe include a nice note or card with it?
I thought and thought and thought about what to get my FI. I wanted something durable that would last, something small so he could bring it with us on our move to Europe, and something that referred to us as a couple. I settled on - and I realize this is completely idiosyncratic - nineteenth century mother of pearl opera glasses. They're tiny, won't be consumed by use (food, activity), and we love going to the opera together.
What do you do together as a couple? Or you could give him something to wear the day of the wedding... an embroidered pocket square with the date and your initials?
Well, we do everything together. The excusion we'd do together on our Honemoon, too.
Something to wear the day of is a nice idea.. I'm trying to find something to tie it all together. I'm getting a nice card, a tiny bottle of cologne for him to wear on teh day of (the cologne he wore when we first met)... I might bake him a batch of the brownies he made me when we first met.
I like the activity idea...and since I'm looking for my OWN FH's gift on our wedding day, I think that your post has provided me with some inspiration! Thanks!
I guess it depends on what your FI is like. Does he like the memento or does he like the event. I'm the sentimental type and much prefer a tangible gift. FI is more experience oriented and enjoys the event. I think an activity is a perfectly fine gift, as long as your FI will think so too!
I second oracle... if he likes "activities" then the Segway tour would be cool. You can also do hot air balloon rides over Napa and they are supposed to be great!
The excursion/activity gift sounds nice! That way it can be enjoyed together. Or.. Is there anything that has been on his wishlist for a while? A lot of bride also does a boudoir shot and make an album as a gift for their husband... don't know if your FH would love something like that. :)
All we're doing is writing a heartfelt note and exchanging them when we see each other for the 1st time... :) i think it'll be great!
The excursion sounds like a fun idea or something for him to wear would be nice. For my FH I gave him a boudior book, a necklace, and a card that I spent a LONG time writing.
We're just writing each other cards. Our rings are our gifts to each other. But I love the segway idea!

I'm trying to figure out what to get my future husband as a wedding day gift. I know watches are somewhat typical and not something he's really into...
I debated on buying him an excusrion/activity for us to do while Honeymooning; it would be a tour of a winery in Napa on a Segway. It sounds like it could be fun and I thnk he'd really enjoy it. But is this kind of weird? I want to include soemthing sentimental and meaningful, as well but I'm struggling with the main gift...
Thoughts?
