TO USE!

Shaun T is the best motivator! You’re going to love it! Just do it at your own pace, and make sure to stay well hydrated, and make sure you have really good runners, as you’ll be doing a lot of jumping. It is intense, but so much fun! You ACTUALLY have fun while doing the workout!

TIP 1: Before you make a DVD investment from them directly, check some websites like Amazon, Kijiji, or Craigslist for used copies. You will save yourself 80% or more!

TIP 2: Don’t feel the need to buy the Insanity Nutrition Guide, or Calendar, as both are available in PDF formats online!

TIP 3: They really advertise their Shakeology shake. I tried a few samples of it, wasn’t a fan. I use freshly juiced veggies and  fruits instead :). Don’t be swayed by the appealing advertisements. If you can freely afford something like that, go for it and see if its for you. If not, no worries, just keep a healthy balanced diet and you’ll be fine ๐Ÿ™‚

The results are incredible! You feel it the next day!

Use.  I loved it.  Its hard I won’t lie but you will feel so great while doing the program and it opened up so much for me.  I then joined a gym and started doing a class through there that is similar to Insanity and even added a couple more classes.

Is this your first at home workout?  Have you done Beach Body in the past?  I’m a Beach Body coach and would love to help you out with pointers on how I got through my Insanity program (and I was not and still am not in the shape I want to be but I’m getting there).  When I started Insanity I was a size 14 now I’m a size 8, its been about a year since I started working out.

@Arganique:  Did you use any Shakeology recipes?  The first time I tried it I wasn’t a fan either.  My coach asked me to joing a Shakeology Challege for 30 days with her and I decided to try it again, expecting to not like it at all and not order again.  Let me tell you adding stuff to it makes a HUGE difference in taste.  There were days where I would swear to you I was drinking a unhealthy milkshake.

My favorite recipe is: 1 scoop Shakeology, 8 oz milk (sometimes I add more because I like the taste so much), 1 tbs peanut butter, 1 tbs honey, 1 tsp vanilla.  Mix in blender and add ice for thickness. Sometimes I’ll add 1 tsp cinnamon for an added kick.  It’s still under 400 calories.

@NurseMandie:  that sounds like a delicious way to boost the taste! To tell you the truth though, I do find it a bit pricy for my wallet. On another hand, if I count the amount of money I spend on fresh fruits and veggies to make myself fresh juice everyday, it equals, if not more, to the Shakeology powder. But hey, at least I know exactly what Im putting into my juice, and at least its guaranteed frshness and nutrition right? ๐Ÿ™‚

Depends on where you are starting from. I seriously started like at square -50 and everytime I’ve done it I’ve failed due to soreness/beyond sore muscle cramps. Like, physically unable to walk cramps, took over a week to recover.

So now I’m literally training FOR insanity. lol. Someday I will be in good enough cardiovascular shape and someday my calves will be able to handle it =) SOMEDAY! I plan on trying it again after completing another beach body product – ChaLEAN =)

@Arganique:  I know what you mean about the price.  The first month I about fell on the floor but it equals out to about $4 per shake and then I was like well my meals are more than that so maybe I can afford this.  Plus my cravings have lessened so I’m not spending as much on sweets and other junk.

It’s definitely a personal decision.  My FI refuses to try it and says it smells like dog food lol.  But I thought I would throw out the recipes if you ever decide to try it again.  You can find them on the Beach Body website.  There are recipes for each Shakeology flavor as well as some desert recipes like cookies, pies etc that you add Shakeology to.  I haven’t tried those yet but some sound really good.

You can add anything to it really.  Fresh fruit, yogurt, spices, nuts…its seriously endless and a great way to not get tired of the same old same old.  I’ve even added cold coffee.

I did my first fitness test today…and I feel like I may not make it ๐Ÿ˜‰ I was literally shaking at the end…and I am up to running quite a bit but apparently not in that great of shape! I definitely took my time and had to stop quite a bit…hopefully this gets better but I am excited to get something going!

@Jill129:  It’s an ass-kicker!  Just commit to doing it, and DO IT!  The first day is kind of fun – it’s a fit test to see where your starting point is.  Only about 20 minutes or so, but you really push yourself.  Doooo it!  ๐Ÿ™‚
