Hey!! I have recently finished Insanity and am actually repeating Month 2 because I loved it so much. I have not done P90x, so I can’t speak to that program and if it’s any better. Overall I followed the schedule, skipping a day here and there because, y’know, life haha. And yes, it is insane. I went from being a couch potato who worked out zero times a week to doing Insanity 5-6 days a week. Yea, it’s really friggin’ hard and there were many days in the beginning when I was like, why the eff am I doing this, but now I can’t get enough of it.

I definitely saw a difference. Not a HUGE difference, but I blame that more on a poor diet than an ineffective program. 😀 I am more toned in my stomach/butt/thighs, my clothes are looser and when my parents came to visit a few weeks ago (I had not seen them since Christmas) they noticed right away that I looked smaller. 

I haven’t lost much in terms of numbers on the scale (maybe 5 lbs since I first started the program), but the change in my body has definitely slimmed down! I will say that I did not start to notice real results until a week into month two, so don’t give up if you don’t notice anything right away. It takes time.

Anyways, good luck, stick with it and let me know if you have any questions or just want to commiserate on how hard Shaun T is kickin’ our asses. 😀

mm86:  If you like those kinds of workouts, u could always do P90X3.  I have friends that have had AMAZING results from it and the workouts are a lot shorter than insanity. I’m doing T25 right now, but my next workout will DEF be P90X3 =)

I’m doing p90x3 right now adn I love it!  Plus its quick.  Any nights that I get hoem from work and think I don’t want to work out I jsut tell myself its only 30 minutes!!  I’ve toned, have onyl lost afew lbs, but I can definietely see a difference.

I for sure want to do insanity again.

I started it a couple times in the past but had difficulty sticking with it because of my schedule and because I live in an upstairs apartment. But, I’m graduating college soon & I’ve been eating a LOT better, so I really want to take it all the way & get active. It has less to do with my body at this point & more about feeling strong & fit. I just love the way it feels when I take care of my health & body, the mirror aside.

Granted, insanity is seriously the hardest thing EVER & I’m only able to keep up half the time, but if you stick with it, it’s sure to get easier.

mm86:  Congrats on sticking with it and finishing your first week! Enjoy that rest day. 😀 Mine is on Sunday and I am looking forward to it haha. Although today was a recovery workout so I’m not complaining. 🙂

I am currently doing T25 and I love it! I have definitely noticed results and feel much stronger. I don’t follow it perfectly because I’m a busy working mom but the fact that they are only 25 minutes and a GREAT workout is amazing. I haven’t done any others like p90x or insanity so I’m not sure what the differences are or if the insanity is as fast paced etc but I can say that I do LOVE T25. 

I have always been active and even ran through my pregnancies and I find that this gives me a great workout and makes me feel great. 

I also love to run so its perfect because I can do both if I want without taking up to much time! If you’re busy like me I would totally recommend it! 🙂

A friend and I tried it and we didn’t make it through Month 2.  It started hurting our knees and joints really badly.  I noticed I was able to improve on the Fit Test but didn’t see any changes in my body and it wasn’t worth the pain.
