I’m starting Day 1 of Insanity today, and I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I was scared. Trying to lose about ten lbs. and tone up for summer, and I convinced the boyfriend to do it with me. We’ll see if he sticks with it 😉
Any other bees doing Insanity, or completed it? I’d love to hear your experiences, and hopefully we can support each other to get through this.
Here’s to looking damn good in a bikini!

I finished it in January. It’s an awesome program. Although Insanity is really tough, you’ll be surprised at how quickly you improve. It’s my favorite program I’ve ever done. I bet you’ll love it. Good luck!

I’ve been doing it! I like it a lot! I was a little scared at first, but it’s totally worth it.

Im almost finished with week 2… I love it! Very tough but lots of fun!

I’ve done it before, I only got through the first month though. I’ll give you one piece of advice: Don’t stop! Insanity’s program is extremely intense and you only get one “rest day.” If you really want to stick to it though, you gotta stay on the wagon. You get really sore and it’s easy to say “I don’t feel like it today, I’ll just rest today and start back up tomorrow..” that happened to me and well, that rest day turned into a rest year. It is a really great program though and will definitely whip you into summer shape!

It will kick your butt for sure. Im on my second time of doing it, and its just as hard the second time around. Stop when you need to stop and drink water when he tells you too. Like someone said up there you gotta stick with it, dont say im gonna skip today and do it tomorrow you will lose all your motivation to do it. Good Luck!

can someone start it if they have a relatively low level of fitness? I used to be super active but grad school and desk work have turned me into a total couch potato.

@bookworm88: yes,but be careful you dont want to over do it. Day 1 is a fitness test and it will show you exactly how out of shape you really are. LOL

I just finished it.
I lost 35 pounds in the two months.
I’m giving myself 2 weeks of rest and then starting it again. It’s insane but worth it. It’s also fun. I never thought I would call an exercise program fun but it really is.

Today starts my last week. Life got in the way a bit and I had to take 2 weeks off – ironically the last week of month 1 and what was supposed to be my last week of month 2. But I’m finishing and plan on restarting right away! I lost a bit more than 15 lbs on it and was totally out of shape when I started. It even trained me for a half marathon! I want to lose around another 15 hopefully by summer, and then maintain.

@amanda923: oh boy… I think I already know how out of shape I am: a lot!
I think I will try 30 Day Shred first?
is this the one where the workouts are all an hour and a half long? how do you all find that kind of time to carve out of your day?

I have it but haven’t really used it since I bought it. Maybe this summer…

I did this before my wedding! Love it, I did p90x before that and thought it was really long and boring. Like others have said , you are going to be sore…. really sore.. and think that you will just not workout for one day to “rest” up… once you start the warm up you don’t feel sore… you will eventually get used to the soreness and see it as a sign of accomplishment! And eventually you wont get sore!
My husband started it with me.. he lasted 2 days … lol

Wow, this sounds intense! I’m looking for a new fitness routine, but I want something I can stick to. This might scare me off quickly.

@Bichon Frise: It is intense but everyone can do it.
When I started it I weighed over 300 pounds and hadn’t done exercise in years. If I can do it, anyone can.
