I am sooo worried I will look hugely fat next to my bridesmaids they are all skinny and beautiful one even managed to lose 15 pounds recently. I didn’t lose any I had hoped to lose a bunch of weight before the wedding but it just didn’t happen, I lost like 3 pounds and only have 23 days left til the big day. I just keep thinking “elbows out don’t let arms touch body” and “I am so happy I didn’t buy a form fitting dress” but still this is actually making me quite depressed.
Any one else worry about this?

@lovelynners: Seriously, although I understand why you feel the way that you do, do not worry about this … AT ALL.
NO ONE will be focused on your bridesmaids on the day of your wedding. All eyes will be on you. Your family and friends will be there to celebrate YOU and your FI.
The only wedding I’ve ever seen where there was significant attention placed on a bridesmaid was when Pippa Middleton served as her sister’s MOH. That will not be the case at your wedding (I doubt that you only have one attendant and that she’ll be wearing ivory silk charmeuse. 🙂
You will be gorgeous. 🙂

@lovelynners: Let me tell you a story…
My cousin-in-law lost a ton of weight before her wedding. Three weeks before her wedding, she tried on her dress, and she was drowning in it! It was terrible! It made her look like a skeleton! There wasn’t enough time to alter the dress that much. So, she had to pack the pounds back on! And she did, and she looked BEAUTIFUL. Absolutely GORGEOUS!
It’s not about what you think looks beautiful- it’s about knowing you’re beautiful and feeling beautiful. Okay, maybe the current convention in skinny, but that’s just a trend really, if you look at history, and on top of that FI is marrying you because he loves YOU and he thinks YOU are beautiful in every way inside and out!!!
Don’t worry about your bridesmaids- just remind yourself that you’re gorgeous and bask in the glow. All those bridal magazines and web advertisements can make us get really self-conscoius. Sometimes we need to pull back and realize that there is no need to lose weight for our weddings.
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! Can’t wait to see pictures!!
