I have kept quiet on Facebook, and been pretty low key on the wedding talk for the past 10 months. But now that the wedding is next month, I find myself wanting people to bring it up, ask about it, or tangentially hit upon the topic of weddings, the Caribbean, white stuff….
It’s like the wedding is my new boyfriend that I always want to talk about, and I’m kind of making myself nauseated at how I keep trying to work into conversation.
Nail Tech: “Oooh, this is a pretty color you picked out”
Me: “Really? Thanks! It matches my dress for my bridal shower this weekend!”

Friend: “I can’t find my birth certificate, and I am sort of freaking out about it”
Me: “Oh, I just had to send our birth certificates to the hall of records to get certified for our wedding abroad. Speaking of, my whole family just realized they need new passports because theyre about to expire and…blah blah blah”
Friend: “Oh. Well I just need mine for safe keeping”

This wedding needs to get here so I can stop talking about it!

I’m like that now, even though my weddings a little further away. It makes sense though… you concentrate that much of your energy into something and of course you’d want to share!
I like the new boyfriend analogy… sometimes that is really how it feels.
Sometimes you have to reign yourself in though… i find comments like that do not go over so well with the single ladies.. :/

hahahaha! I feel the same way and my wedding is still a year away! i’m sure people will eventually run away when they see me for fear of hearing about “My wedding” LOL!!

Confession. I am dying to post my wedding stuff up on Facebook…
But I have been holding myself so to avoid annoying comments.. =(

Hahaha! That’s so funny. The only thing I did so far (it’s only been less than two weeks) is place my hand under my chin in report at work so my ring would be showing. I internally groaned at myself too. I didn’t want to bring up the engagement myself but wanted people to ask! (it worked…) So I totally understand! Thanks for the funny, lighthearted post!

Hahaha! Funny that, I’M getting married in June TOO! 😛
To be honest, I am not having this problem. In fact, I avoid talking about it to anyone but my Fiance and Maid/Matron of Honor for the most part and that’s only because there is a countdown on our fridge (24 days to go omg) and we’ve been planning bachelor/ette parties this past week. If anything, I feel like that’s all anyone ELSE wants to talk to me about!

Lol! I’m a cashier so a lot of people are coming in buying dresses for relatives weddings this summer and I always end up telling them I’m getting married next month even if I don’t want to it just comes out hahaha.

Yes! And I can tell by the instant glazing-over of eyes that I’ve even told the person this same detail already. Still can’t stop myself.

Haha, I’m another June wedding with the same problem. It makes sense, since we spend SO MUCH TIME planning all of these silly details, it’s just on my mind a lot and lots of things remind me of the wedding! I try to stop myself sometimes, but often it just tumbles out!

Omygoodness…I can’t quit talking about our wedding. Future Mother-In-Law came in last week to take me shopping just for odds and ends nothing to do with wedding. I promised myself before she got here I wasn’t going to talk about the wedding….That is all we talked about the hole time. I wish I could just put it in the back of my mind for a week or so. I’ve heard myself talk about it so much I’ve made myself sick..lol CRAZY
