Did anyone just see Inside Edition where they were talking about the Chinese dress replica shops? They ordered a Maggie Sottero gown and compared it to a real one. There was a woman on the show who ordered and claimed she never knew that the gown she was purchasing (for half price) was not real.
Thoughts? I know I see great gowns made for fellow bees by Jasmines and the other online shops.

I did see the show earlier. I was kind of surprised that she was expecting a Designer dress retailing $4k for like $300 online. I was thinking… hasn’t she been on WB?

@blingybride: that’s exactly what I thought!

the above link is from a google search on my phone. I typed in ‘inside edition bridal dress replica’ and the first link that came up was it. Apparently it’s from September but it was on TV tonight.

I’m surprised she didn’t know what she was buying. That site is quite clearly a replica site, but she just ended up sounding ignorant in the article because she was taken aback by the “poorer” quality.

You know, Jasmines did tell me that they get bulk orders from bridal shops, and that they suspect the shops remove their labels and try to sell the dresses as originals.

sorry but anyone that doesn’t realize that a dress they’re getting for a fraction of the price is a fake should just give up now. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is and you should at least do further research to ensure.
WHen I was ordering my flower girl dress online, I contacted the manufacturer to ensure the website I ordered from was an authorized retailer. It’s NOT that hard to figure out.
