Make sure you’re keeping a normal pattern. I always have much worse insomnia when I’m pulling really late nights some nights, then getting up early, then sleeping in, etc. Also, try working out about an hour or so before you plan to go to bed. I’ve found that the more physically active I am that night/day, the more easily I fall asleep. Insomnia’s the worst, good luck!

I get it really bad because i tend to not have  a regular pattern.  I love working late (like until 2:30 or later) but then tend to sleep late and not be able to fall asleep at a “normal” time.

I have found that maintaining a regular schedule is important.  for example, even if i work really late, i get up at the same time.  this make me more tired when it come time to actually go to sleep that night. you can also do things like relax right before bed time – read a book, take a shower/bath, etc. Even if i get sleepy in the middle of the day, i resist taking a nap or i cant fall asleep at night.

worst case, i work more!
