Hey Bees,
I chose emotional because i am feeling emotional, but in a really good way for once throughtout this wedding planning journey. I have felt that my dad's budget has been extremely difficult to work with the entire time. Because even though we had one thing written down(the numbers in our budget that we worked out together), he would change things on me as soon as i found something(venue, flowers, dress etc).
So, each step along the way i have struggled, pulled my hair out, and eventually compromised to find something that i like(though it usually took a while to warm up to these things each time) and each time i have saved a lot of money (like on my dress i saved 1000) from what we had written down in the budget. But even still when it came to my most recent project, finding the perfect florist/flower arrangements, my dad was adament that even though i had saved soo much on everything else, i could not go over our 1100 dollar flower budget. I ended up taking a full month off of wedding planning as a result of all my pent up frustration(because i felt that i had sacrificed some aspects that were important to me(like photography-using an amatuer that has never done a wedding before). so anyways i took a full month(and a couple of days) off to rest, and recollect my sanity while i still had some left(this wedding planning stuff can be consuming...right?!!!)
And guess what...I started back just yesterday, and i am back with more energy and feeling better than ever! I am actually enjoying my engagement now, and since i only have 4 months left, i had hoped i could enjoy some of it!
My point is that i just settled on getting my flowers from, wait for it, COSTCO!!! And it couldnt be more perfect! Instead of sacrificing my dream of all roses(off white), i can have it, and for hundreds less than my budget, so once again i am not even close to going over budget! It makes me so happy that i can have what i love while not breaking my poor dad's banK!
And now i dont have to debate with him why flowers are so important to me, YAY!
So for any bees out there who are feeling discouraged and over it, dont lose hope, you can find the perfect things for your wedding within a budget!
