I LOVE BATMAN!!! If he was real and my FI wasn't alive...*cough* back to reality.
I would see purples, blues, greens, black. A batman garter (I have one). Maybe something form fitting for your dress, mermaid if you can pull it off with a touch of color to it (maybe like Gweb Stephani had around her hem). A do that is down with curls ( I may or may not be channeling catwoman and the joker). Vavavavoom makeup. Sorry I don't have any pics I'm on my iPhone.
I think that would be amazing! My first thought was "Gotham City", very dark and moody, charcoal, pewter, and black. I personally wouldn't go colorful or cartoony with it.

Oh yeah this is awesome lol. I definitely agree that it would be super dark and chic and modern and moody... and also amazing... now i have to find some inspiration :)
What about a plum and green color scheme like the joker?
BM's could wear plum dresses with nice bright red lipstick :)
Guys could wear green vests with shirt sleeves rolled up
Groom could wear a sleek black on black suit
Maybe you can rent a cool black car that looks sort of like the batmobile for transportation!

You could fit playing cards into your reception theme. Evening wedding with dark centerpieces--black and white striped runners and candlelight.

Hmm, I was thinking something more glamourous since you said The Dark Knight, there is a cocktail party scene in that.
I think a metropolitan "Gotham" setting in a hotel penthouse that Bruce Wayne might stay at or at a historic mansion to represent Wayne Manor.
Formal black tie for the groomsmen and long evening dresses for your bridesmaids.
Champagne and butler passed hors d'oeuvres for the feel of the party.
Your getaway car could be a black sports car.
The only really "theme" thing you could do is have the Batman symbol spot light on the dancefloor.

Huge movie buff. Batman is my favorite superhero. So the thought occured to me what would a wedding inspired by the Batman Christopher Nolan films (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight-starring Christian Bale) look like? I thought it would be sexy and glamorous. IDEAS?!
