I think it's cool. Just be careful about walking down the aisle with lit candles. Sounds like it could be dangerous! Also, you should consider soy candles. They are SO MUCH better for the environment than petroleum-based candles.
I think it sounds like a great idea! =)
(PS: Uh...should this be in "food"?)
It sounds like your wedding will be really pretty! I think the long tapers for the bridesmaids is a great idea! I am having a candle lit wedding as well. My flower girls will have little lanterns instead of baskets.
mouse: do you know where you can get soy candles at a good price? I'd like to use them to be green but all the ones I have found so far are a lot more expensive than regular candles
Miss Stiletto did a post on an Etsy seller who she bought her soy candles from. You should do a search for it!
haha! yeah... totally didn't mean to lable this in food!! I'll be sure to change that! Thanks :)
and the soy candles sound like a good idea. How expensive are they?

I'm having a candle lit ceremony. Tons of candles EVERYWHERE! Down the isle, at the altar, behind the altar, at the door entrance... everywhere. I think it will be really beautiful and also, cheaper because i won't have to pay as much for tons of summer flowers eveywhere...
Instead of having each bride walk down the isle with a boquet of flowers, I've decided to have them walk down the isle with a single tall taper candle. It will be a heck of a lot cheaper, add to the candles, and plus, it's not like the guests will be able to see small flower boquets anyway. I think candles are the way to go.
What do you think?
