i think if you make something with lots of love and “bake in” your engagement intentions, it has to work right? i say go for it rosie! and keep track so we can find out if non-roasted chicken things work too!

the ravioli was, if i do say so myself, AWESOME! i don’t have a pasta machine so it took forever to roll out the dough thin enough. but it was totally worth it! i’m actually considering investing in even one of those hand crank ones…fresh pasta is such a treat!

Engagement Gumbo… yea, I’ll need to hit up my creol mother and get her off-the-chain receipe.  I might be engaged before Xmas.  He loves it!

I made Mr. Cosmo a pot roast this weekend – it was delish (and no small feat – I certainly am no Julia Child)!

During dinner, I mentioned the *engagement chicken* to him and we discussed the idea of a good home-cooked meal having the effect of painting the *chef* in a more domestic-wife-like light.  He said he absolutely thought it (the post roast) did just that . . . and that it made him imagine that we would be having lovely pot roast dinners for years to come.

Just thought I would share.  🙂

Boy I need to learn how to cook.  But I made a deal with myself that until I have a ring on my finger I refuse to learn!  LOL

so cute MsCosmo! i think that has a lot to do with it. my BF’s mom is a gourmet chef (no, seriously), so i’ve got big shoes to fill. he is also a phenomenal cook, so we end up doing a lot of our cooking together. but still, i like to show off every now and again…. 🙂
