I think it's a great idea! I made a mock A&E Biography video for my BIL/SIL's wedding that was a HUGE hit! It had all kinds of celebrity interviews and funny pictures of them. Everyone loved it because it was different and not your typical slideshow.
yes yes yes! i love reception videos! my friend did one "dancing with the stars" style, and between interviews they danced, and their parents, etc.! it was suppperrr cute! but be careful with interviewing others, sometimes you really have to coax the shy people to do it!
Yeah, I hope it works out! We were going to doing something like a news announcement/documentary and have our maid of honor and best man host.
That is an awesome idea :) Your guests will appreciate the originality and probably remember that tid-bit from your wedding when they are guests at another one!
I really like the idea, but something to think about. I think a lot of people like slideshows because you can ooh and ahh over the pictures, but you can also turn to your nieghbor and comment/discuss them. It is a great way to start some converstaions. I am not sure you would still have conversation with a documentary. I think it would be more like having the guests watch a video about you guys.
i think it's an awesome idea! you could also intersperse it with movie scenes with dialog that may be releveant to you guys.
Ahh the joys of marrying a geek. He's going to do all the work!

Future husband and I are trying to think of ideas that will make our wedding quirky in small ways. Instead of doing a slideshow during the reception of just photos, we're going to try and do some sort of documentary about us, our dating and our engagement/wedding. We're going to do it in stages like before we met (which was basically before college), interview our parents and friends that knew us before we knew eachother. The next stage will be about when we met and our dating years and then interview some more friends that knew us when we were dating and how he was going to ask me out etc. Lastly, it will show our engagement photos and things like that and then interview our parents about one another.
Hopefully this will be more engaging and in depth then some slideshows, but still fun! What do you all think?
