Oh don't get me started on Insurance! lol I've been through the loops with insurance and about had enough. We just purchased a house & are just now looking into combined insurance. We both left our parents Auto Insurance & got our own. For us we went with a local company that DOES have an Office. We put all of our insurance together in one place. So much easier & also can get discounts if you have multiple plans. We have Home; Auto; & also have the option of Life Insurance through them. As far as Health Insurance; I can't be much help with that right now. Typically though; your health insurance is through something different. I'll have my own Health insurance through work soon & He has his through his work right now. After our wedding we will look @ both of our policies and see which will be more beneficial & then drop one and both be covered under one family policy. Either Mine or His. Hope that helps a little. My Best advice will be for you to CHECK AROUND! I got quotes from 4 different places. The more the better!

Hello Hive!
I checked my knot.com checklist and it says we should arrange for all of our insurance policies to include me and my future spouse. How do I do that? I'm currently on my parents' insurance. He has progressive for car insurance. I'll be getting health insurance through school after we get married. We don't currently have renter's insurance (Is this a good idea?), nor do we have life insurance.
I guess what I'm asking is, how do we make sure we will both be insured after the wedding? Our auto insurance company doesn't really have an "office." Any of you newlyweds have advice?
