Hey, this thread got revived when I wasn't looking! If people are still interested, I still would like to plan something. I will send you all PMs soon so we can arrange a time in case you don't check this thread again. I'll pick somewhere near the Skytrain (I don't own a car, and in case others don't) and central i.e not necessarily in the downtown. I live near Lougheed Skytrain, so anywhere along the line is good for me.

Girls, this is so exciting for me! When I joined a year ago, I swear I was one of the only Canadian bee's... now we're having our own meet-ups! So cool!!
Im totally in as well. I was actually just thinking about starting a meet up last night!
I live in Richmond, so close to a skytrain and am able to commute somewhere to meet.
Are we thinking a weekday or weekend meet?
Hey Ladies, I haven't forgotten about the meetup, I'm just in the middle of a busy time right now, so I haven't been on the Bee much lately. I promise to organize something soon :)
I might be up for a meet up - though I'm still just starting the process so it might be more to get some ideas from those of you who are well on your way :)
@jpatterson - COME :) We will probably chat wedding, but also its a great oppurtunity to meet some new people.

So... I was thinking of various locations, trying to make it so no one would have to commute super far. What do people think of Milestones in Brentwood? It is very close to Brentwood Mall Skytrain station, so people could transit if they wanted. And Burnaby is somewhat central to most of you I believe.
I work shift work, so my schedule is sort of all over the place. As a matter of fact, I am writing this at 0530 in the morning! I am up for weekend or weeknight. I would like to suggest a tentative date of Thursday, April 15th. Perhaps 7 pm? I am open to alternative dates as well. Let me know ladies!
I will be in Toronto for work on the 15th, I get home at midnight that night :( If another date works, I'd love to be there. Milestones in Brentwood is quite central - good choice!
@jpatterson7 - shoot! Depending on how many people prefer this date, we might just keep it, but if all goes well we will be definitely having another one!
@SapphireSun and Emshaw - Yay! So far we got three bees (including myself) as a go for that night. I'll just wait to here from the others, and if all is a go, I'll make a reservation!
I'm ok for a date change if necessary. Looking at my planner, it looks like the only weeknights that are definitely out are April 8 and April 22.
If you do decide to change the date my bad dates are April 12-15 (work trip) and April 29-May 2 (stagette). Everything else is pretty flexible aside from strange work things that can come up.
Schedule it & I'll be there :) I'm confused though-- is it on April 15th fo' sho?

D'oh! I forgot I have an exam on April 15th in the evening, so a date change will be necessary! I want to include as many people as possible, I would like to propose this date:
The FIRST Vancouver Wedding Bee Meet Up will be held on WEDNESDAY, ARPIL 21 at MILESTONES at BRENTWOOD at 7:00 pm! I will get there a bit early, just ask the waitress to seat you with the Wedding Bee Meet-Up! Plenty of parking available at the restaurant, or you can Skytrain it and get off at Brentwood Station and walk.
Please just confirm one final time if you can make this date - I'll ask one of the mods if they can make it a sticky.

OMG I am SO jealous that I am going to miss this! I have an exam on Thursday morning and Brentwood would be quite the trek from downtown Vancouver so I can't even pop in for a quick study break to chat wedding with you ladies. Have fun and hopefully I can make the next one!

Hey Ladies!! Sorry i was a no show!! i have a great excuse though...well not great...but valid...my car exploded on the way there...and by exloded I mean it started steaming and the needle was WAY up past the H...so yeah...green stuff everywhere :( now i have a wedding to pay for and a car...grrrr. Sorry!!!!!

I just saw that several Ontario bees were getting meet-ups going in Missasauga/Toronto, and I thought I would see if any bees were interested in a Vancouver meet-up? If people are interested, we can take this topic further, determining dates, places, etc. All are welcome!
