Darren — There is an option to actually post a poll with your post — if you click on "Edit" on your actual post … and then scroll down it says "do you want to add a poll" then you should put it in there — It would be easier for everyoen to respond!

But if you can’t figure that out – my answer is an hour to an hour and a half.

We took 30 minutes of formal portraits. We weren’t interested in having a TON of group shots. we had 6 attendants each and it’s not like hte photographer needed to take 10 shots of me and him and our parents and bridal party anyways. I think we took maybe 4 “formals” with the bp. It’s not like I’m going to display a long image of us all on my mantle. I want it for our album.

We’re only allowing about 30 minutes, mainly because I don’t want a lot of portraits.

our photographer is starting at 2:30 for our formal pictures and said we will be done by 5:00… that does include a 15 minute drive to a park for some outside ones. so, minus the drive about 2 hours.

I’m thinking 30-45 minutes (probably closer to 45). We’re doing a ton of pictures beforehand with our families and parties. The only things left for after the wedding will be the whole group pictures and stuff together. Hopefully we can stay under 45 minutes, cause I want to get in to the reception and start visiting with my guests!!

i would guess between an hour and an hour & a half at least… we have big families & big wedding parties and the photos are extremely important to both me & my fi!

I hope it only takes 30-45 minutes!  I want beautiful pictures, but I want to get to the party too!! 🙂  We only have the reception hall for so long!  I’m curious to hear what your professional opinion is as a photographer.  We met with ours yesterday, and she told us that they would probably take between 30 and 45 minutes.  Do you feel differently?

I think 45 mins to an hour, that way your not rushing, and you can redo some pics if they don’t turn out right

I would say 30-45 min. I know pictures are important but I would not want to spend more time than that on pics. I just want a few formal photos, to make sure all the bridal party get snapped in their fancy attire and then I want the rest to be candid.

Probably about an hour.  I want a lot of frames to ensure we have great photos in the end.

I’d say 30 -45 because I am totally not looking to have a "photo shoot". We will get a few formal portraits then some of me and the groom … we will only go to one location (the reception venue) so we don’t need to account for travel time.
