I think they are both fine but very different looks, the first looks very modern to me. What type of look are you going for?
I think they would both look great. The second one is much more tradiitonal then the first. What does your dress look like?
You might look at Mood also, they have a really nice online selection. I would have to see your dress to comment on either of your two selections, as they are both very different from eachother.

@accorn: i'm not sure what look i'm going for! i do tend to like modern things... but the leaf pattern is just so pretty.
I love the leaf pattern lace too, and was going to say that one until I saw your dress. I think the first lace would look awesome with your dress!
I actually think the first one (the more modern looking one) would look better with that dress!

i just love polka dots. another option would be to just make a simple, one-tier cut-edge veil with the dotted tulle.
@dotdotdot: I think the two would be cute together and would look adorable with your dress. I think you should order a sample of the crinoline material from Mood as sometimes crinoline material can be stiff, better to make sure it is a material you want to use than waste the money on something you don't.
