The majority of FI’s family is in Mexico, and I am curious to see how long invitations actually take to arrive there.. a week? two weeks? I am trying to time my invitations (we are doing two tiers of invites) and I want to make sure they get theirs and have time to return the rsvp (if they do… a whole nother issue…) anyways, Any ideas on how long international mail takes?

@jillieb: We sent our invites from Thailand to Australia, which is nowhere near you, but just a word of advice so things go smoothly for you… allow more time rather than less, and factor in public holidays on both sides! We managed to hit 8 days of public holidays in both countries 🙁 and our invites took 16 days to arrive instead of the usual 7. And one lot is yet to turn up 🙁
Don’t want to scare you, but I think this is a case of better safe than sorry! All the best!

@Owlie: yikes! I didn’t even think of holidays… I will have to check into that. I am worried about them not getting there in general, and about any form of rsvp getting back to me. I feel like the Mexico invites are doomed from the start!
haha I’ve already sent stds and I only know of one for sure getting there because the girl signed our website guestbook. ooooh well… guess FI and his parents are going to be making lots of calls… ugh
