The only thing I know about the Lions Club is from an optometric standpoint. They do a lot of work for the community trying to get glasses and eye care to the people who need it. They collect glasses and do lots of trips to other nations (Jamaica, Mexico, etc) to give out free eye exams and glasses. They do this here in the homeland too, of course. They're a really great group and do a lot of wonderful things. If anything, you could use it as a networking hub. :-)

is anyone here involved with a local Lions Club? My husband is a caterer. One of their biggest clients is a local Lions Club. I've met a few of the members - including the president and her husband - who came to our wedding! last year and this year (today actually) I went with him to their fall pitch/hayride in at a local park. I was talking to the pres and she asked if I'd ever be interested in becoming a member. I told her yeah - i HAVE thought about it. Plus, too, we talked about the fact that I sell pampered chef and we sorta made a deal that she'll host a party if I think about becoming a member! lol
Now I know they do a lot of community stuff - but I really don't know that much about them. It is a much older group - but she's trying to recruit younger women to become involved. I'm 31. :)
Anyways - I'm just curious if anyone here is involved or knows anyone who is. Do you like it?
