Hi there! I am a Canadian living in the US and have only gotten one invite with proper postage for an rsvp…so I will pass along the info.

<font face=”Times New Roman”>The US Postal Service sells a certificate in which you can include with your international invitations to cover the cost of your RSVP postage in alternate countries. The last time we checked, these were called "Union Postales" and were $1.85 each.

For my save the dates, I put 90 cents for each international address and will probably do the same for my RSVPs. You can look up postage rates here:

i did the same thing — keep in mind that you’ll need 2 90 cent stamps for 2 oz letters (typically what wedding invites weigh with enclosures).

I sent invitations to Spain and Japan, and in those 2 invites on the rsvps I think I put $3 worth of stamps on each. I went to post office and calculated how much it would be from each country to NY. It didn’t look as messy as you might think, but I also had 92 cent stamps for the invites so I just put 3 of them on each of the out of coutry rsvp envelopes.

I should add I put the $3 worth just to be sure. I know it wasn’t going to cost that much for them to rsvp back to me.

Mtyf: you definitely might be right. I just figured, if it won’t work they will change them. In hindsight, I guess that’s pretty lazy of me… hmm…

My finance is from Colombia so for all the Colombian RSVP’s we put an insert with his mother’s phone number or gave the option of RSVPing online.

US stamps don’t work outside of the country, so for the invitations going to Taiwan/Japan/Canada/UK, I did not put any stamps on the return envelope.

Most of my friends & family outside of US just responded to me via email after they received the invitations.

I ordered Irish stamps from the Irish postal service website for my Irish invites. If you can find the postal website of the country you are sending to, you should be able to order some stamps. Its cheaper and less complicated than those vouchers!
