I have an interview in a couple weeks with Teach For America. I was wondering what you ladies would do on your nails? I know that bright colors or crazy designs are not reccomended. Should I just do a clear top coat or a very light neutral? I don’t know what is considered “professional” nail polish.

I would do a nude Or very pale pink.Def make sure they are fresh and not chipped. There is nothing professional about chipped nails!

Nude, clear or pale pink nail polish are your safest options. Make sure your nails are a moderate length too!

A neatly trimmed french manicure. Short nails, not those long sharp ones.

Nude, pale pink or french manicure. If you’d like to get a little fancy, you can add some small diamentes or silver coloured flakes 🙂

DiamondsandViolets: Go natural or something like pale pink or a neutral. Good luck! I’m a TFA alum 🙂 If you make it, it will be the hardest two years of your life, but if you’re in it for the right reasons they will be some of the best.

MsMeow: +1. Agreed. I would err on the conservative side. You can always celebrate getting the job with a fabulous pedi!

Definitely nude, light pink, or light beige…

Natural…nude or light pink. You could probably get away with a coral as long as it’s not too orangey or bright. Nothing frosty or glittery. No decals or designs on one finger.

One of my go-to nail polishes is Essie’s Ladylike, which would be nice for your interview.
