Since we all multi-tasks while we are at work:
What are some of the best interview questions you have been asked?
Thanks, I have 20+ interviews (I am interviewing not being interviewed) this week and I was just curious if there was anything that stood out in your mind from previous interviews.

In my last job, they asked a lot about me personally, not work related. That stood out to me because I had never been “prepped” for that lol. One question in particular asked where my values came from and how they were developed. Just thought it was interesting lol.

I think the one that always gets me is something along the lines of ‘Why do you want this job’ and if it’s a top choice
I have a difficult time lying on that one though of course sugar coat it.

I was recently interviewed for a bank and they asked me to explain a difficult task that I had overcome in my previous job and how those skilled could be translated to a position with them.

A good way to tell if the applicant is truely interested in the job/company or is just filling out applications for anything they think they’d qualify for is to ask them specifically why they’re interested in that job in particular and why they are interested in the company. If they can’t answer those – they don’t really want the job.
Also – the standard end of interview question – so, do you have any questions for me? If an interviewee doesn’t have an inteligent question or two, they aren’t really interested in the job.
As an interviewee, I like interviews where it is more a flowing conversation with the interviewer than just a question and answer session. But that’s just me!

In a sales interview I went to once, they had three random items on the desk. I was asked at one point during the interview to pick one and sell it to my interviewer. Be prepared to be a hard sale to see how creative they can get.

Thanks so much girls! Might just have to use some this afternoon. I have been doing them for the past 2 days and feel like I am running out of ideas so anything to get me thinking again is great!

I was recently asked what my current boss/employer would say if someone asked them about me.
I thought it was a great question because it forced me to look at myself from another person’s perspective.
