I have an interview tomorrow during lunch! Im excited but really nervous especially because the phone call caught me off guard and I was at work But I think I handled it well!
I’m going to buy some new pants after work today for the interview tomorrow. What do I say if someone at my current job notices I’m more dressed up with new/different clothea tomorrow? Just that I went shopping?
How do you answer the “tell me about yourself” question? Career wise? Personal wise? the job is as a recruiter/marketer for a local organization.
Military related- we moved here 1.5 years ago due to DH being in the miltary. If they asked why we moved here, what should I say? DH works for the government? Ive only had one job interview (my current one) and they didnt ask But they may in this one.

That you went shopping sounds like a good excuse. It wouldn’t work if it was a full suit type interview, but it sounds like it’s more on the casual side. Depending on your personality, either play it off as “Oh yeah, I went shopping, NBD” or “Yeah! I went shopping! I got so much great stuff!”. If you act sketchy about it it’ll be way more obvious.
I think they probably want to know about you careerwise but not about your accomplishments- more about how your personality and goals make you better at your job.

Good luck on your interview! How exciting.
For your interview questions, how about looking online for tips:
This one kind of fits with your husband’s military background (how NOT to answer the “tell me about yourself questions):

Best of luck and let us know how it went!!

I agree with PP regarding the clothes – just say you went shopping. Definitely answer the “tell me about yourself” question as it relates to your career/skills – leave any and all personal stuff out of the convo unless they ask you specifically… Even then, there are many topics from a legal standpoint they can’t even touch (religion, marital status, etc…)
IF they ask you why you moved here, you can say it was for your husbands job, but even then, you do not have to go into detail. I just went through the interview process myself so I know how it is trying to prepare for those typical questions. Good luck!
