I have an appointment with my Gyno in a few weeks to get a biopsy done on a skin discoloration located on what I think is called my “perineum body”. She said it looks like a birthmark and is not too concerned about it but would like to be completely sure. (I wasn’t able to tell her if it’s new or not, my GP never mentioned anything and this is the first time I saw this Gyno)
She will freeze the area, take a little cutting and put in a dissolvable stich. I’ve never had a biopsy or stitches before and I’m nervous about it; mostly due to the location. I sit at a desk all day and I’m assuming I will not feel up to sitting all day afterwards, so I have taken the rest of the day off work.
Has anyone had a similar procedure done? I’m wondering how long it was painful for and if one day off work be enough. How long does something like this generally take to heal (I know everyone is a little different, mostly looking for experiences)
Thanks in advance!
