So due to family, financial and other circumstances being so complicated fh and I have decided it is best to only have 25 of our 100 original guests at our ceremony and then for those 25 to go out for dinner at a nice restaurant. Because we are having such a small amount of family and friends coming to the wedding and dinner itself we are wanting to do a one year anniversary party, we would not have any of the wedding traditions but we would have a cake, seating plan, centrepieces, live jazz band etc, and we thought it would be a nice idea to have a couple photos from our wedding as part of the decor. We would also make it very clear gifts are not necessary and suggest a charity to donate to if they felt they really wanted to give something.
Normally I don’t really like one year things but in these circumstances would work our perfect for us, do you think this is a nice way to involve the family that couldn’t be there with us on the day or do you think it is pointless and people wouldn’t care to come?
